Details

 

  • Two courses aim to teach girls the fundamentals and modern applications in AI
    • Basic Course: Geared towards middle schoolers and beyond

    • Advanced Course: Geared towards high schoolers and beyond
    • Basic Course is a prerequisite for Advanced Course
  • Spring 2025 offering details:
    • Six 90-minute lectures over 6 weeks (Basic: 3 weeks, Advanced: 3 weeks)
  • Free and online
  • Course material has been reviewed by a Graduate-level Professor teaching Data Science at Rutgers University and a Senior Software Engineer at NVIDIA
  • Combination of slides and interactive code samples every lecture
  • Optional coding homework will be provided

  • A certificate of completion will be given to students upon request at the end of the course

 

Future Opportunities

 

  • Students will have the opportunity to become a teaching assistant (TA) or instructors for local chapters in their area

Requirements

 

  • Minimum age to enroll is 13
  • Basic familiarity with any programming language
    • Do not have to be an expert! All you need is some familiarity with basic data types (int, string, etc.), control structures, loops, etc.
    • Python review will be conducted in the course and you will be shown how to run code
    • Any laptop with internet access will be sufficient to run code
